Undergrad and Ph.D. completed at Brock University (Ph.D. Thesis - Regulation of Systemic Acquired Resistance through the Interaction of Arabidopsis thaliana Transcription Factors TGA1 and TGA2 with NPR1).
Completion of two post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Guelph: (1) Dr. Barry Shelph, Plant Agriculture (2 years), (2) Dr. Rod Merrill, Molecular and Cellular Biology (1.5 years).
Currently teaching in the Biotechnology Advanced program at Fleming College, Teaching in the program since 2012 and coordinator since 2020.
