Dr. Beth Mason is the CEO of the Verschuren Centre Inc, an independent NFP research and deployment centre, helping industry adapt, through advancing commercialization of clean technology companies toward shared sustainable solutions. The centre’s core focus areas are biomanufacturing, next generation materials and thermal energy decarbonizing. Dr Mason came to Nova Scotia 8 years ago to build the bio-processing and ag-marine extractions program at the centre, after working in alternative fermentative chemistry of dairy derivatives in bioethanol & biomethane with Saputo Dairy Products Canada. With this leadership and a focus of resource circularity, smart materials and Industrial fermentation Beth & the Verschuren Centre provide partners in a range of net zero pathways to increasing process and product sustainability while reducing carbon footprint.
