Christina DeRoche
Director, Canadore College’s Research Centre

Dr. Christina DeRoche is the Director of Canadore College’s Research Centre. In this role she supports, facilitates, and initiates a variety of research projects with the Research Team and faculty. In her previous experience, Christina has worked in the non-for-profit and healthcare sectors in managerial and quality and research related roles. In these roles, Christina has worked on a variety of projects including large community-based initiatives, benchmarking projects of child and adolescent inpatient psychiatry units, and evaluation procedures of a variety of healthcare services. Christina earned her PhD from McMaster University’s Department of Sociology where she worked on an applied research project with CanChild, Family Medicine, and local community agencies. Christina continues to work on her own research priorities which include women’s health, children and youth health and socialization, family health, and perinatal mental health initiatives. Christina is passionate about the impact of applied research for community and industry partners and actively advocates for additional research supports to Colleges for both their social and economic benefits.
